Superintendent's Office

Brigadier General Michael Barycki
(Battle Record)

Welcome to the Union Military Academy. I am the Academy Superintendent. Before proceeding I would like to make sure that you take an opportunity to review the Academy's New Member Orientation, which immediately follows this welcome section. The orientation will answer a number of questions in regards to how things generally function in the club and at the UMA. If you have already made application and responded to my earlier messages, you will soon be receiving your acceptance letter and assignment to an Instructor. If you have not yet applied, you may do so at our Enlistment Center.

If you're still considering whether you ought to apply to the Union Military Academy, perhaps you ought to see THIS!

Should you have any questions, I and my staff are always available to help. It is my wish that you find your sojourn here as a UMA Cadet to be both enjoyable and instructive. Not all cadets finish our program, but your eventual graduation will be a product of your own desire and fortitude.

         Regards,
Brigadier General Michael Barycki, ACWGC UA

Major General Steve Sober
(Battle Record)

Let me extend a warm welcome to you! I am the academy's Chief of Staff and Assistant Superintendent. As part of our mission here we will help you apply the latest patches and upgrades to your game collection, learn how to Play-By-E-Mail, advance your knowledge of the strategy and tactics of these games and understand both the Rules of the ACWGC and the Union Army Standing Orders. After your graduation and assignment I'll help to make arrangements for your participation in the Lieutenant's Cup Tournament, a voluntary, club sponsored competition wherein you'll be matched up with Rebel players near your own rank and experience.

Both the Superintendent and I look forward to assisting you in your orientation and training. If at any time you should require additional assistance or have any questions, you have only to call upon me.

         Regards,
         Maj. Gen. Steve Sober, ACWGC
