What two presidents were born in adjoining counties of the same state?

As a guess, I'd say Garfield and Hayes.

Taft and B.Harrison were both born in Hamilton County, Ohio. Grant was born in Clermont County. I wil propose it is TAFT and GRANT or B. HARRISON and GRANT.

Harding and Hayes also living in adjacent counties.

Grant-Pt. Pleasant, Clermont County, Ohio
Hayes-Delaware, Delaware County, Ohio
Garfield-Mentor, Lake County, Ohio
Benjamin Harrison-North Bend, Hamilton County, Ohio
William McKinley-Niles, Trumbull County, Ohio
William Taft-Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.
Warren Harding-Corsica, Morrow County, Ohio
