AoT Brainteaser III

Post by Joe Meyer »

The Union Army of the Tennessee, like its sister armies in the Western Theater, fielded its share of sturdy supply wagons, some of the best built by what company located in South Bend, Indiana?

General Meyer:
Patty cake, patty cake

There is an easy answer for this one -- reprising Gen. Walter's answer last question.

Alright now, Neal! I knew you'd get this one right off! (Did you ever actually drive one?) But there's no merit in goading the troops, and you are not to answer any knocks on your tent pole about this either! ;) The boys will have to get this one on their own.

The company did not do as well in the 20th century

It was Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company of South Bend.

For a real detailed look, you can read John Palmer's book called South Bend, Crossroads of Commerce
