Gentlemen,

It is my pleasure to present the September, 2011, Monthly Report of the Union Army of the Tennessee.

STRENGTH: As of this date this field army has attached to it an aggregate of forty-five officers. Of these, thirty-six are present. Each of these thirty-six has answered the August Muster giving the AotT an 88% rate of effectives. The balance of the AotT aggregate consists of Lieutenant Colonel (P) Andreas Trommel, who is assigned to the AotT Hospital, Lt. David Earls, who is assigned to the detached Ninth Division and two officers on Leave of Absence (General Thomas Callmeyer and Brigadier General Paul Brennan).

PROMOTIONS:

Captain (P) Ephraim Burton, 4th Cavalry Brigade,3(2nd) Cavalry Division, XVI Corps earned sufficient OBD Points to advance two grades to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

SPECIAL PROJECTS:

1) The “Western Fireworks,” tournament between the AotM and the AotT, has concluded with the AotM scoring a decisive victory over the AotT. Of the 26 battles contested, 21 have been completed. The AotM scored 9 Major Victories and 4 Minor Victories against 5 Major Victories and 1 Minor Victory for the AotT. There were 2 Draws and 5 games were not completed in the time allotted for the tournament. The final score for the tournament is AotM 22, AotT 11.

2) General Strickler (AotM) and I are fleshing out a plan to institute the Western Fireworks Tournament as a recurring event that would, in the words of General Strickler, mirror “a Stanley Cup” event for our two armies. We are also considering proposing an overall tournament for the ACWGC in a sort of a Super Bowl for Civil War gaming.

AUGUST MUSTER:

1) The army conducted its twenty-first Muster Call since its January, 2010 reorganisation this month with thirty-six officers listed as present responding, recording a 88% Muster Report return rate.

2) Lt. Col. (P) Trommel has completed his second month assigned to the AotT Hospital despite repeated attempts made to contact him.

3) Lt. David Earls has completed his first month assigned to the detached Ninth Division.

4) Lt. Mick Rocks has been assigned to the AotT effective September 10, 2011. He has answered the Army Commander's welcoming letter and I have assigned him to 2nd Brigade, 3(2Cav) Division, XVI Corps. He is working 12-14 hour days for the month of September so we will fully integrate him into the Army in October to include his initial training with the Army Advanced Training Officer, Brigadier General Trembley.

ARMY VACANCIES:

There are currently four brigade vacancies within the AotT OOB; two vacancies in XV Corps and two vacancies in XVI Corps.

The AotT Chief of Staff position is vacant.
