It is my pleasure to present the July, 2011, Monthly Report of the Union Army of the Tennessee.

STRENGTH: As of this date this field army has attached to it an aggregate of forty-four officers. Of these, forty-one are present. Each of these forty-one have answered the July Muster giving the AotT a 100% rate of effectives. The balance of the AotT aggregate consists of Lieutenant Colonel (P) Andreas Trommel, who is about to complete his third month assigned to the detached Ninth Division, and two officers on Leave of Absence (General Thomas Callmeyer and Brigadier General Paul Brennan).

PROMOTIONS:

Lt. Col. (P) Aleksander Krolikowski, 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XV Corps earned sufficient OBD Points to merit promotion to Full Colonel.

SPECIAL PROJECTS:

“Western Fireworks,” the tournament between the AotM and the AotT, is under way with 24 AotM officers facing off against 22 AotT officers (including the UAGinC). Colonel Ray Matthews has claimed first blood with a lightning Major Victory over Major General (CSA) Neal Hebert. Col. Joe Alberti reports a Draw against Lt. Col. James Foster.

JULY MUSTER:

1) The army conducted its nineteenth Muster Call since its January, 2010 reorganisation this month with all forty-one officers listed as present responding, recording a 100% Muster Report return rate.

2) The detached Ninth Division currently lists one officer, Lt. Col. (P) Andreas Trommel. Lt. Col. (P) Trommel will enter the AotT Hospital this month if he fails to answer the numerous attempts made to contact him. Lieutenant Colonel Roberto Sanchez has been reinstated having regained contact after failing to answer the June Muster.

ARMY VACANCIES:

There are currently four brigade vacancies within the AotT OOB; one vacancy in XV Corps and three vacancies in XVI Corps.

The AotT Chief of Staff position is vacant.

EAGLE DIVISIONS: All six of the Army’s divisions turned in 100% Muster Returns this month, and the following records have been noted:

Brig. Gen. Jeffrey McDonald’s First Infantry Division, XV Corps - Fifth consecutive and Thirteenth overall effort.

Maj. Gen. Stefan Reuter’s Second Infantry Division – Eighth consecutive and Sixteenth overall effort. (With Meritorious Unit Citation)

Colonel Ray Matthew’s Third (2nd Cav) Division, XV Corps-Second consecutive and Eleventh overall effort.

General Chuck Jensen's 1st Infantry Division, XVI Corps-First Consecutive and Fourteenth overall effort.

Brig. Gen. John Sheffield’s Second Infantry Division, XVI Corps – Twelfth consecutive and Sixteenth overall effort. (With Meritorious Unit Citation)

Brig. Gen. David Elkin’s Third (2nd) Cavalry Division, XVI Corps - Eleventh consecutive and Fifteenth overall effort. (With Meritorious Unit Citation).

BATTLE REPORT: June 2011 showed a marked improvement over the dismal record posted by the Army of the Tennessee in May. Out of 22 Actions (All Battles), the AotT won 6 MAJOR VICTORIES and 4 MINOR VICTORIES. Confederate forces gained 4 MAJOR VICTORIES and 5 MINOR VICTORIES against the AotT. There were 3 DRAWS.

Of special note, one of the MAJOR VICTORIES won by AotT members was probably the first AGEOD-AACW Multi-Player game. Major General Joe Bukal, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XV Corps, in conjunction with General D.S. Walter (AotS) and Col. (Retired) Gene Renna represented the AotT represented in this historic event.
