Gentlemen,

It is my pleasure to present the April, 2017 Monthly Report of the Union Army of the Tennessee.

STRENGTH: This month the AotT conducted its Eighty-seventh muster since its reorganization in January 2010. As of this date, this field army has attached to it an aggregate of Thirty-three officers. Of these thirty-three officers, thirty-two were Present for Duty for the month. Thirty-one Present for Duty officers answered the April muster giving the AotT a 96% rate of effectives. Captain Len Hermer and Col. Dan Macnamara have been declared Out Of Contact for repeated failures to muster.


RETIREMENTS:

Maj. Gen. Ray Matthews, 5/2/XV/AotT by request effective 8 April 2017


DISCHARGES:

Lt. Thomas Andrews, 7(Reserve)/2/XV effective 3 April 2017


RESIGNATIONS: NONE


OFFICERS RETURNED TO DUTY: NONE


LEAVE OF ABSENCE:

Brig. Gen. David Swartz effective 1 May 2017


OUT OF CONTACT:

1) Capt. Len Hermer did not answer the April Muster. I have declared this officer OUT OF CONTACT for the second month.

2) Colonel Dan Macnamara has been declared OUT OF CONTACT for missing two consecutive musters.




RECENTLY ASSIGNED OFFICERS: NONE


PROMOTIONS:

1lt Aldo Miccio has been promoted to the rank of Captain



SPECIAL PROJECTS:

1) Brig. Gen. Derek Hampel’s 2/XV Infantry Division is conducting another Division level Multi-Player battle with a Division from the CSA.

2) The AotT has completed converting from a six Division Field Army to a Five Division Field Army.



ARMY VACANCIES:

There are currently eleven brigade command vacancies within the AotT OOB.

a) Five of the six of the 7th Reserve Brigades are vacant.

b) The XVI Corps Commander Slot is Vacant

c) The remaining vacancies include:

1) 6th Artillery Brigade, 1st Division, XV Corps
2) 5th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XV Corps
3) 4th Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, XVI Corps
4) 4th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XVI Corps
5) Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XVI Corps
6) 5th Cavalry Brigade, 3(2Cav) Cavalry Division, XVI Corps


EAGLE DIVISIONS: Four of the five AotT divisions turned in a 100% Muster Return this month. The following records have been noted:


Brig. Gen. Derek Hampel’s Second Infantry Division, XV Corps, Fifth Consecutive, Seventy-seventh overall effort.

General Chuck Jensen’s First Infantry Division, XVI Corps: Forty-ninth Consecutive and Seventy-seventh overall effort.

Maj. Gen. John Sheffield’s Second Infantry Division, XVI Corps: Thirty-sixth consecutive and Seventy-fourth overall effort.

Col. Rich Miskinis’Third Cavalry Division (2Cav), XVI Corps; Fourth Consecutive and seventy-third overall effort.



BATTLE REPORT:

The AotT completed 3 Actions in the month of March 2017. All of these actions were BATTLES. The AotT won 1 MINOR VICTORY and the Confederates won 1 MAJOR VICTORY. There was 1 DRAW.


BATTLEFIELD RIBBONS FOR MAJOR VICTORIES: NONE


MAJOR VICTORIES NOT MERITING BATTLEFIELD RIBBONS: NONE


MINOR VICTORIES:

Brig. Gen. Ken Crist won a Minor Victory at Bull Run (HPS Antietam, Scn 004 1st Bull Run. 42 Turns.)
