ATTENTION!! BRIGADES!

Gentlemen,

It is my pleasure to present the October, 2016 Monthly Report of the Union Army of the Tennessee.

STRENGTH: This month the AotT conducted its Eighty-second muster since its reorganization in January 2010. As of this date, this field army has attached to it an aggregate of Thirty-six officers. Of these thirty-six officers, thirty-five are Present for Duty of which thirty-three answered the June muster giving the AotT a 94% rate of effectives. Lt. Col. David Earls and 1Lt Thomas Andrews have not yet reported for the October Muster.


RETIREMENTS: NONE


DISCHARGES: NONE


RESIGNATIONS: NONE


OFFICERS RETURNED TO DUTY: NONE


LEAVE OF ABSENCE:

Lt. Gen. David Elkin has requested and has been granted a Leave of Absence until February 2017.

ARMY VACANCIES:

There are currently sixteen brigade command vacancies within the AotT OOB.

a) All six of the 7th Reserve Brigades are vacant.

b) The remaining vacancies include:

2) 3rd Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, XV Corps
3) 5th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XV Corps

5) Horse Artillery Brigade, 3(1Cav) Cavalry Division, XV Corps
6) 4th Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, XVI Corps
7) 4th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XVI Corps
8) Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XVI Corps
9) 4th Cavalry Brigade, 3(2Cav) Cavalry Division, XVI Corps

EAGLE DIVISIONS: Four of the six AotT divisions turned in a 100% Muster Return this month. The following records have been noted:


Maj. Gen. Jeff McDonald’s First Infantry Division, XV Corps, Fiftht Consecutive, Sixty-third overall effort.

Col. Maxime Yvelin’s Third Cavalry Division (1Cav), XV Corps: First Consecutive and Sixtieht-first overall effort.

General Chuck Jensen’s First Infantry Division, XVI Corps: Forty-fourth Consecutive and Seventy-first overall effort.

Maj. Gen. John Sheffield’s Second Infantry Division, XVI Corps: Thirty-second consecutive and Seventieth overall effort.


BATTLE REPORT:

The AotT completed 1 Battle in September 2016 which resulted in a DRAW.
