ATTENTION!! BRIGADES!

Gentlemen,

It is my pleasure to present the September, 2016 Monthly Report of the Union Army of the Tennessee.

STRENGTH: This month the AotT conducted its Eight-first muster since its reorganization in January 2010. As of this date, this field army has attached to it an aggregate of Thirty-six officers. Of these thirty-six officers, all thirty-five are Present for Duty. Thirty of the thirty-five Present for Duty Officers have answered the September due to non-receipt of a report from 3(1Cav)/XV/AotT. XV Corps Commander is trying to determine the actual Muster Status of this division. Lt. Gen. Elkin, XVI Corps Commander has requested a Leave of Absence until February 2017. This muster result gives the AotT a 88% rate of effectives.

RESIGNATIONS: NONE


OFFICERS RETURNED TO DUTY: NONE


LEAVE OF ABSENCE:

Lt. Gen. David Elkin has requested and been granted Leave of Absence until February 2017.

ARMY VACANCIES:

There are currently and sixteen brigade command vacancies within the AotT OOB.

a) All six of the 7th Reserve Brigades are vacant.

b) The remaining vacancies include:

2) 3rd Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, XV Corps
3) 5th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XV Corps
4) 4th Cavalry Brigade, 3(1Cav) Cavalry Division, XV Corps
5) Horse Artillery Brigade, 3(1Cav) Cavalry Division, XV Corps
6) 4th Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, XVI Corps
7) 4th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XVI Corps
8) Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XVI Corps
9) 4th Cavalry Brigade, 3(2Cav) Cavalry Division, XVI Corps

EAGLE DIVISIONS: Five of the six AotT divisions turned in a 100% Muster Return this month. The following records have been noted:


Maj. Gen. Jeff McDonald’s First Infantry Division, XV Corps, Fourth Consecutive, Sixty-second overall effort.

Brig. Gen. Derek Hampel’s Second Infantry Division, XV Corps, Twenty-ninth Consecutive, Seventy-second overall effort.

General Chuck Jensen’s First Infantry Division, XVI Corps: Forty-third Consecutive and Seventieth overall effort.

Maj. Gen. John Sheffield’s Second Infantry Division, XVI Corps: Thirty-first consecutive and Sixty-ninth overall effort.

Col. Rich Miskinis’ Third Cavalry Division (2Cav), XVI Corps; Eleventh Consecutive and Sixty-ninth overall effort.




BATTLE REPORT:

The AotT completed 3 actions in Augusr 2016. These include 2 BATTLES and 1 MANEUVER. All three actions resulted in a DRAW.
