Gentlemen,

It is my pleasure to present the August, 2015 Monthly Report of the Union Army of the Tennessee.

STRENGTH: This month the AotT conducted its Sixty-eighth muster since its reorganization in January 2010. As of this date, this field army has attached to it an aggregate of Thirty-eight officers. Of these, thirty-six officers are present for duty. Of the thirty-six officers present for duty, all 36 answered the August muster giving the AotT a 100% rate of effectives.



RETIREMENTS: NONE

RESIGNATIONS: NONE


OFFICERS RETURNED TO DUTY: NONE


LEAVE OF ABSENCE:

1) Maj. Gen. Ray Matthews, 3(1Cav)/XV, is on a 6 month Leave of Absence at his own request. He is due to report back to active service on December 15, 2015.


OUT OF CONTACT: Brig. Gen. Charles Babb did not answer the August, 2015 Muster and has now been MISSING for two full months.



RECENTLY ASSIGNED OFFICERS: NONE



PROMOTIONS: Maj. (P) David Earls, Horse Artillery, 3(2Cav) Cavalry Division, XVI Corps has earned sufficient OBD points for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel.


SPECIAL PROJECTS: NONE


ARMY VACANCIES:

There are currently fourteen brigade vacancies within the AotT OOB.

a) All six of the 7th Reserve Brigades are vacant.

b) The remaining brigade vacancies include:

1) 1st Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, XV Corps
2) 3rd Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, XV Corps
3) 3rd Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XV Corps
4) 5th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XV Corps
5) 5th Cavalry Brigade, 3(1Cav) Cavalry Division, XV Corps
6) 4th Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, XVI Corps
7) Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XVI Corps
8) 4th Cavalry Brigade, 3(2Cav) Cavalry Division, XVI Corps



EAGLE DIVISIONS: All six of the AotT divisions turned in a 100% Muster Return this month. The following records have been noted:


Maj. Gen. Jeff McDonald’s First Infantry Division, XV Corps: Third Consecutive, Fifty-first overall effort.

Col. Derek Hampel’s Second Infantry Division, XV Corps, Sixty-first Consecutive, Sixtieth overall effort.

Acting Division Commander Lt. Col. Maxime Yvelin’s Third Cavalry Division (1 Cav), XV Corps: Second Consecutive, Fifty-second overall effort.

General Chuck Jensen’s First Infantry Division, XVI Corps: Thirty-first Consecutive and Fifty-eighth overall effort.

Maj. Gen. John Sheffield’s Second Infantry Division, XVI Corps: Nineteenth consecutive and Fifty-seventh overall effort.

Lt. Col. Rich Miskinis’ Third Cavalry Division (2Cav), XVI Corps: Thirty-second consecutive and Fifty-eighth overall effort.


BATTLE REPORT:

The AotT completed 6 actions in July 2015. All six actions were BATTLES. Of these 6 BATTLES, the AotT won 4 MAJOR VICTORIES. Confederate forces gained 1 MAJOR VICTORY. There was 1 DRAW.



BATTLEFIELD RIBBONS FOR MAJOR VICTORIES:


Maj. Gen. Brent Horrocks is awarded a Battlefield Ribbon for his Major Victory at Gettysburg (HPS Gettysburg, Scn Historical_1. The Battle of Gettysburg), 136 turns). 5th Award

Col. Rich Miskinis is awarded a Battlefield Ribbon for his Major Victory at Shiloh (vs Brig. Gen. Dwain Cunningham) (TS Shiloh, Scn 04h. The Battle of Shiloh), 90 turns). 2nd Award

Col. Rich Miskinis is awarded a Battlefield Ribbon for his Major Victory at Shiloh (vs Lt. Col.. Dale Lastowicke) (TS Shiloh, Scn 04h. The Battle of Shiloh), 90 turns). 3rd Award
