ATTENTION!! BRIGADES!

Gentlemen,

It is my pleasure to present the May, 2015 Monthly Report of the Union Army of the Tennessee.

STRENGTH: This month the AotT conducted its Sixty-fifth muster since its reorganization in January 2010. As of this date, this field army has attached to it an aggregate of forty officers. Of these, thirty-nine officers are present for duty. Of the thirty-nine officers present for duty, 38 answered the May muster giving the AotT a 97% rate of effectives.



RETIREMENTS: NONE


DISCHARGES: NONE


RESIGNATIONS: NONE


OFFICERS RETURNED TO DUTY: NONE


LEAVE OF ABSENCE: Lt. Gen. Ian Miller, 4/3(2Cav)/XVI, is on a 6 month Leave of Absence at his own request. He is due to report back to active service on July 1, 2015.

PROMOTIONS: NONE




SPECIAL PROJECTS: No Change in the status of the tournament. I received one email from the AoW Commander about six weeks ago about the subject with nothing since.



ARMY VACANCIES:

There are currently twelve brigade vacancies within the AotT OOB.

a) All six of the 7th Reserve Brigades are vacant.

b) The remaining brigade vacancies include:

1) 1st Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, XV Corps
2) 3rd Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XV Corps
3) 5th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XV Corps
4) 5th Cavalry Brigade, 3(1Cav) Cavalry Division, XV Corps
5) 4th Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, XVI Corps
6) Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, XVI Corps



EAGLE DIVISIONS: Five of the six AotT divisions turned in a 100% Muster Return this month. The following records have been noted:


Col. Derek Hampel’s Second Infantry Division, XV Corps, Fourteenth Consecutive, Fifty-seventh overall effort.

Maj. Gen. Ray Matthews’ Third(1Cav) Cavalry Division, XV Corps, Fourth Consecutive, Fiftieth overall effort.

General Chuck Jensen’s First Infantry Division, XVI Corps: Twenty-eighth Consecutive and Fifty-fifth overall effort.

Maj. Gen. John Sheffield’s Second Infantry Division, XVI Corps: Sixteenth consecutive and Fifty-fourth overall effort.

Lt. Col. Rich Miskinis’ Third Cavalry Division (2Cav), XVI Corps: Twenty-ninth consecutive and Fifty-fifth overall effort.


BATTLE REPORT:

The AotT completed 11 actions in April 2015. These actions consisted of 6 MANEUVERS and 5 BATTLES. Of these 5 BATTLES, the AotT won 1 MAJOR VICTORY, Confederate forces gained 3 MAJOR VICTORIES and there was 1 DRAW.



BATTLEFIELD RIBBONS FOR MAJOR VICTORIES:


Col. Derek Hampel is awarded a Battlefield Ribbon for his Major Victory at First Bull Run (HPS Antietam, Scn 002. 1BR_Bull Run(Hist) (Battle of First Bull Run, 38 turns). 1st Award




MAJOR VICTORIES NOT MERITING BATTLEFIELD RIBBONS: NONE




MINOR VICTORIES: NONE
