Greetings to All
Since this is a bar, I will begin by saying I believe that drinking is a Sober responsibility. Is there any tequila in the house? I take my responsibility very seriously and wish to demonstrate it.
I, like a recent new cadet also began playing wargames in 1960. Gettysburg or D-Day by Avalon Hill. I played a lot in the '60s and into the '80s. Then almost exclusively against A/I and only recently got back into gaming with CWII and JTS Campaign Gettysburg. General Nelms, my trainer, has kindly and very quickly (immediately) showed me how incompetent that has made me against a real person. So, here I am! (I'm also a veteran, Vietnam, US Army, Chairborne - Finance Corps travel clerk and Company Clerk.)
I'm retired, live part-time on a boat on the Chesapeake and at home in Woodstock, VA (home of the Woodstock Races) where we overlook the Old Valley Pike with the Alleghenies to the West and have the North Branch of the Shenandoah River between us and Massanutten Mountain to the East. We have a view of Edinburg Gap, which I think that dastardly Stonewall knew something about.
It's clear that I am among real experts here and I'm already humbled.
Cheers, Gentlemen!

Hi again Steve:
A warm welcome to the ACWGC. Most of us started just like you with board games and BTW my cruise ship will be making some waves on your craft in January as we sail from Baltimore to the Bahamas. Happy gaming.

Gentlemen,
I'm enjoying the heck out of being whooped by Gen'l Nelms and I'm truly looking forward to being active here.
A round for all, I think my commission is on the way.
Bottoms up!
