General Meyer <salute>
Suh, my compliments!
I'm curious about the percentages you report each month on "Engagements" and the numbers which produce your "WinAvg", specifically what formula is used.
Your Army of the Shenandoah numbers from your November/December report (18 battles):
Maj Vic 6, Min Vic 3, Draw 4, Min Def 0, Maj Def 5
You posted a "WinAvg" of .569, however 9 victories out of 18 total contests comes out to .500 regardless of where you learned your math, North or South. A "WinAvg" of ".569" would require 10.242 wins, so your formula doesn't include "draws" as victories.
If you're juggling the books to look better, I suppose that's your prerogotive as the CoA. I'll post the II Corps, Army of the Mississippi numbers for January 2013 and ask what our "WinAvg" is. I thought it was .545.
Maj Vic: 9
Min Vic: 3
Draw: 4
Min Def: 3
Maj Def: 3
Highest regards,

Not really a smackdown, I'd just like to know how to inflate my corps' winning percentage using Yankee math
There must be some face saving formula, like using last month's victories without actually including them in the total number of battles fought, or something to that effect. They enjoy the numbers, the superior supplies, the superior artillery, and still cook the books?

General Hebert,
You have forgotten to taken into consideration the average Yankee IQ – which is on the low side. So if you take the 0.500 and divided it by the Yankee IQ average which is 0.8787346221441125 you get 0.596
I hope this helps

Suh, you think Nicodemus would raid a Yank tavern and not have an emergency supply?
Drink up, gents! We'll charge whatever Yanks wander in double to increase the profit margin.

Are they gone yet? They're really just a bunch of kids, you know. Can't be expected to grasp the finer points of statistics. Not much else going on in their lives except computer games!
