ATTENTION TO PARADE!
CITATION FOR THE DEFENDER OF THE UNION COMMENDATION
GENERAL ANTONY BARLOW
General Antony Barlow, present Commander of the 2nd Brigade, First Division, XX Corps, Army of the Cumberland is hereby awarded, for the second time in his career as an officer of the ACWGC Union Army, the Defender of the Union Medal and Ribbon, for his dedicated, long-time, on-going administration and maintenance of the AotC's websites. This personally contributed service of his dates back to around 2004 and has carried forward in unbroken fashion to this date, a period in excess of eight years. By such dedication and commitment, exhibited on a regular monthly basis and as individually required during each month in that period of time, General Barlow has not only contributed directly to the constancy and public presentation of the AotC, but indirectly to the ACWGC Union Army as well. His administrative accomplishments in various other, senior command rolls within the AotC and voluntary contributions to participating in the Advisory Group of the Union Army Command Staff and UA Awards Committee have been well recognized and awarded separately. But his long, sustained management of the AotC websites has never been accorded the direct recognition it deserves until now. It is my privilege and particualr honor to be involved in the awardance of this medal to him, on behalf of the all of the officers of the Union Army and in saluting his personal commitment and dedication.
This is the General's second such award!
