Official ACWGC Union Army General rank promotion announcements, command appointments and UA awards are made on the Parade Ground. The Mess Tent serves as a casual place for all club members to socialize, drink or have a meal, as long as they spend Yankee dollars! And, as much as we like to accommodate our Southron brethren, they will not be able to vote in any polls held here, or gain access to the restricted areas.

This parade is called to honor the service rendered as the AotP's Chief of Staff by General Kenneth Miller.
CITATION FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE ORDER
GENERAL KEN MILLER
General Ken Miller is awarded the Union Army's Distinguished Sevice Order for his constant and supportive administration as the Union Army of the Potomac's Chief of Staff over the course of the past year and into this first quarter of 2012. General Miller has quietly and without great fanfare volunteered significant portions of his own, very valuable personal time, providing the AotP with a steady measure of record keeping and logistical maintenance on the AotP's website. He undertook these duties, providing significant assistance to the AotP commander at a time when few others were available or willing. This demonstartion of his abiding concern for the welfare of the AotP is indicative of his much larger commitment to the strength of the Union Army as a whole and to the ACWGC in general, a trait which is and has been very obvious to all who know him. In respect to such service, this particular award is but a mere token of the gratitude owed him for the services performed and can in no real way adequately compensate him. Yet it is richly and wholesomely merited by him.
This is the General's second such award!

My apologies for being late for my own party but I have been very busy lately.
The Allegheny Blues have not been doing too well on the battlefield lately, either the rebs are learnin or I've gotten cautious, but there is still enough of that aged Tennessee whiskey donated by my rebel opponents to allow me to buy the next round.
