General Roubaud Receives OSM!

Official ACWGC Union Army General rank promotion announcements, command appointments and UA awards are made on the Parade Ground. The Mess Tent serves as a casual place for all club members to socialize, drink or have a meal, as long as they spend Yankee dollars! And, as much as we like to accommodate our Southron brethren, they will not be able to vote in any polls held here, or gain access to the restricted areas.

General Roubaud Receives OSM!

Post by Joe Meyer »

OFFICERS OF THE ACWGC UNION ARMY,
ATTENTION TO PARADE!

This parade is called to honor the service rendered as the Union Army of the Potomac Commander over the course of the last year and a half by General Philip Roubaud.

CITATION FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE MEDAL
GENERAL PHILIP ROUBAUD

For his continuous service from August 15th, 2010, as the Commander of the Union Army of the Potomac, General Philip Roubaud is awarded the Union Army's Outstanding Service Medal. General Roubaud's personal contribution of time and energy in this role over the last eighteen months has been complimented by his ready and studied involvement within the Union Army Command Staff conferences, where his voice and thoughts on the general direction and good order of the Union Army have been well received. He undertook the AotP commander's role at the personal request of General Dierk Walter, at a time when few other officers were able to make the commitment, and brought with him his experience as not only an officer of the Army of the Cumberland, but also those as an officer of the Army of the Shenandoah. General Roubaud maintained the AotP command amid a number of hardships and challenges, keeping that organization cohesive and viable in spite of the losses it sustained in personnel, bringing it safely to a point of order wherein it is now poised to be reorganized and revitalized. As he now relinquishes his position as head of the AotP and returns to the familiar encampment of the Army of the Cumberland, it is proper and right to acknowledge the service he has rendered with this award.

This is the General's first such award!

OFFICERS OF THE ACWGC UNION ARMY,
Present, ARMS!
Order, ARMS!
Parade, DISMISSED!

Please join me in saluting this fine officer for his voluntary contributions on our behalf.
General Jos. C. Meyer,
Union Army Chief of Staff
Commander, Army of the Shenandoah
(2011-2014 UA GinC)
