New ANV Tournament - Equal Force Fight Emmitsburg/Monocacy

Official ACWGC Union Army General rank promotion announcements, command appointments and UA awards are made on the Parade Ground. The Mess Tent serves as a casual place for all club members to socialize, drink or have a meal, as long as they spend Yankee dollars! And, as much as we like to accommodate our Southron brethren, they will not be able to vote in any polls held here, or gain access to the restricted areas.

New ANV Tournament - Equal Force Fight Emmitsburg/Monocacy

Post by sstiles »

Following on from the resounding CSA success in the 1st Manassas Sesquicentennial Tournament (currently CSA 36 and USA 8 & counting) we thought we should organise an Equal Force Fight.

The proposed scenario is designed by our very own Rich Hamilton and is from the Scenario Design Centre:

A medium custom scenario for Campaign Gettysburg. Used as the third battle in the '05 CWB Tournament. Relatively equal forces on a medium sized map, 32 turns. Two variants are included with this, one using the "broken down" regimental size, essentially doubling the number of counters on the map, the other using the "standard" regimental size (v2). It is proposed to use the v2 standard regiment version.

Start 1st September end approx end October. Usual 4 points major win, 2 points minor win, 1 point draw. Optional rules by agreement. Opponents to be matched roughly by OBD rating.

We have 4 ANV officers ready to take up the challenge so far & I expect there will be more. We would be delighted to meet Yanks from any US Army. If you are interested please contact me at cmdr.anv@gmail.com
