OFFICERS OF THE ACWGC UNION ARMY,
ATTENTION TO PARADE!
Under orders published this date Colonel James Boling has been named to assume command of the Union Army of the Potomac from General Michael Osborne. Colonel Boling ascends to this position from his former command of the First Division, V Corps, AotP. Jim has been a club member in excellent standing since his graduation from the UMA on December 18th, 2017. He successfully ran for a seat on the ACWGC Cabinet and became a Union Army Secretary on July 13th of this past year. Jim is a retired Colonel of the United States Army and brings a very erudite and complete leadership capability to his new posting.
General Osborne relinquishes his command after 6 years and 4 months of outstanding service, having overriding and pressing professional obligations in Real Life. During his tenure as the AotP AC, Michael has displayed what can only be called a solid, stellar and uniquely fit leadership, one that has garnered him a wealth of service awards and recognition from three different GinCs! Michael's focus, vision and character worked to provide his command with an increased responsiveness and activity, instilling a high sense of pride and camaraderie. He was meticulous, thorough and exact in his performance of duties, always maintaining good communications with both his subordinates and superiors. He very fortunately remains within the club and will assume command, by the authority of the GinC, the favored 1/1/I "Iron Brigade" command.
In recognition of his total past service, General Osborne is awarded the following.
The Defender of the Union Medal (his 1st), The Outstanding Service Medal (his 3rd), The Exemplary Service Medal (his 5th) and The Honorable Service Medal (his 6th).
OFFICERS OF THE ACWGC UNION ARMY,
Present, ARMS!
Order, ARMS!
All guests and officers are invited to offer their congratulations to these two fine officers.
