ATTENTION TO PARADE!
The ACWGC Cabinet has certified the election by acclamation of Lieutenant General Michael Dowling, formerly Commander of the 5/1/XVI/AotT, as the new Commander of the ACWGC Union Military Group (GinC, Union Army) as of September 25th, 2019. Lieutenant General Dowling replaces General Derald Riggs, ACWGC, who will soon be taking post as a Brigade Commander in the 1/XX/AotC, his home field army. General Riggs has continuously served as the UA CoA for the past 4 years and 8 months, a longer active term in that roll than any previous officer.
During his term in office General Riggs has been presented with 2 Defender of the Union Medals (DoU), 4 Outstanding Service Medals (OSM), 6 Exemplary Service Medals (ESM), 6 Honorable Service Medals (HSM) and 8 Good Conduct Medals (GCM).
On this occasion and on behalf of the Union Army Military Group's senior staff and with their approbation, General Riggs is awarded the following, additional medals in recognition of his voluntary commitment to maintain his post until a successor could be elected: OSM (5th), ESM (7th), HSM (7th) and GCM (9th).
In addition, General Riggs is authorized to display his 5th CoA Command Service Ribbon:
