New Club President

Official ACWGC Union Army General rank promotion announcements, command appointments and UA awards are made on the Parade Ground. The Mess Tent serves as a casual place for all club members to socialize, drink or have a meal, as long as they spend Yankee dollars! And, as much as we like to accommodate our Southron brethren, they will not be able to vote in any polls held here, or gain access to the restricted areas.

Is there going to be excessive drinking in celebration, or are you Union boys doing things on the cheap as per normal

I believe that General Sands is the first officer from the Union Army Military Group of the club to be the president, the first in over 15 years! This calls for an on-going celebration to last throughout the entire first year of his term. Accordingly, the stocks of all Union forum bars have been liberally replenished and all swinging door hinges amply greased. Officers are instructed to feel free in moving from bar to bar as they sample the drink cards and offer toasts to the ACWGC President.

All Union officers are also instructed to be vigilant in spotting any members of the CSA Drinking Team who attempt to deplete the bar stocks with feigned enthusiasm for the election results. Of particular note in this regard is CSA General Cameron McOmish, who excels in unexpected arrival times and exhibits unusual ploys to slake his copious thirst. Most recently he was found posing as the assistant bartender in the AotS's Winchester Arms Bar, where he had busied himself with preemptively replacing customer's drinks with fresh and then swilling off the dregs of the old. The ruse wasn't discovered until a patron at the bar made comment upon the unusual, sudden increase in the bartender's height. Looking down at his feet the bartender discovered that he'd stepped up and was standing on the prone, drunken body of General McOmish who'd passed out behind the bar!
