Mr. Cameron has been sent to Russia as the U. S. Minister. At last word he was being questioned by the Imperial police as to how Alexander II's silver-plated toilet seat had come to be used as a frame for Cameron's personal portrait. Apparantly it was the Confederate Minister who discovered the missing object whilst attending a drink-fest social hour at the ambassador's home. When informed of the discovery Alexander was purported to have exclaimed of Cameron, "What an ass!"
