Lieutenant General Dale Lastowica Retires!

Official ACWGC Union Army General rank promotion announcements, command appointments and UA awards are made on the Parade Ground. The Mess Tent serves as a casual place for all club members to socialize, drink or have a meal, as long as they spend Yankee dollars! And, as much as we like to accommodate our Southron brethren, they will not be able to vote in any polls held here, or gain access to the restricted areas.

Lieutenant General Dale Lastowica Retires!

Post by Joe Meyer »

OFFICERS OF THE ACWGC UNION ARMY,
ATTENTION TO PARADE!

Lieutenant General Dale Lastowica, Commander of the 6th Artillery Brigade, First Infantry Division, VIII Corps, Army of the Shenandoah, has announced his retirement from active service. General Lastowica has been a club member within the Union Army since September of 2003. He was originally assigned to the Union Army of the James, becoming a division commander therein by July, 2005 and served honorably within that organization until its consolidation in the early summer of 2007. Just prior to that time he had assumed command of the XXV Corps. Within the Army of the Shenandoah Dale assumed command of the VIII Corps, serving very capably and steadily until August of 2008, when he was re-assigned as the new XIX Corps Commander, a post that he maintained until November of 2009. Throughout his tenure as an ACWGC officer he compiled a very respectable 30-14-19-12-40 combat record, amassing over 1400 OBD Points. He is a holder of the Union Army Exemplary Service Medal, the Union Army Good Conduct Medal, thirteen various campaign and battle ribbons and was most recently a participant in the Red Badge of Courage Tournament. Lieutenant General Lastowica was a frequent contributor upon the Mason Dixon Forum, posting over 360 times! On the announcement of his retirement he is awarded the Army of the Shenandoah Service Medal and the Union Army's Outstanding and Honorable Service Medals, the last two awards in recognition of his unique record of having served as a corps commander for three different corps. Although Dale will be missed by both his Rebel opponents and his brother Union officers, he has signaled his possible intentions of re-activating his membership at some future point as conditions may allow with an eye towards service south of the Mason-Dixon Line!
