DoR Report Page

Official ACWGC Union Army General rank promotion announcements, command appointments and UA awards are made on the Parade Ground. The Mess Tent serves as a casual place for all club members to socialize, drink or have a meal, as long as they spend Yankee dollars! And, as much as we like to accommodate our Southron brethren, they will not be able to vote in any polls held here, or gain access to the restricted areas.

DoR Report Page

Post by nsimms »

This is a summation with some comments regarding the Department of Records (DoR) Report page. The DoR has an “instructions” page that is as good as if not better than this, but some of us are more apt to read it here than to read the one in the DoR. We’re males and just hate to read the instructions before we put something together.

My Games: Lists all of the games that has ever been registered with you as one of the contestants (does not include games that have been deleted) and it includes the number of OBD points that you received for each game.

My OBD: Lists all of the OBD points that have accumulated in your name which comes in handy for checking to see if you ever got your OBD points for the medal that you were awarded, or for your command time last month, etc. The listing shows games first, followed by awards.

My Unfinished Games: Lists all of the games that are registered at the DoR with you as a participant and the games haven't been closed out. Any games in this list that are not being fought, and won’t be finished, should be closed out.

Individual Player Game Report: This is how you can see the games that another person has played, who they played, and how they did in them.

CSA/USA OOB: Lists info on everyone organized by army command. Info includes rank, name, organization, and e-mail address.

CSA/USA Roster: Lists info on everyone organized alphabetically. Info includes rank, name, organization, and e-mail address. This one is easier to use to look up someone's e-mail address. Of course, the e-mail address is whatever the individual has listed with the club. If you've changed it and haven't changed your official e-mail with the club, then other members (to include your chain of command) may send e-mails that you won’t receive.

CSA/USA Command Staff: Kind of an OOB report (above) repeated without the brigade commanders included.

CSA/USA Inactive: Lists all of the hospitalized, discharged, retired, and AWOL members/former members.

CSA/USA OBD Detail: This does the same thing as My OBD above except that it lists everybody's OBD.

CSA/USA OBD Summary Reports: Lets you choose by army, and is organized by OOB, listing rank, name, organization, # OBD points, if enough points available for promotion, and overall won/lost record. This one in combination with looking up your opponent with Individual Player Game Report can give you a good idea of what you're getting into.

CSA/USA Top Guns: This will generate a report of all officers in the USA with more than 300 points. Follow the directions on the page to sort the officers into the correct order. It allows you to organize the roster by OBD points if you want so that you can see if you're 1st or 201st in the club (by side).

All Games: A report that allows you to pick a time frame and have all games listed that were started or ended during your selected time frame.

Field Promotions: This link can be used by officers below the rank of Colonel. When a player's OBD reflects enough points for a promotion below the rank of Colonel, they can visit this link to confirm it. If enough points exist, the page will "deliver" a message to be opened. When the member opens this message, he/she will find out that he/she has been promoted to the appropriate rank and that the commanders up his chain of command have been notified of the field promotion as well. (Promotion above the rank of Colonel requires Cabinet approval so this page will not promote above that rank.)

Corps Games Report/Army Games Report/Army Games Report (No Duplicate Games): All much like the All Games report above which are used by Corps and Army Commanders to produce their reports each month.

Game Scenario Report: Will list all games registered by disk and the results of those games. It organizes them in order by scenario. This one gives you some idea as to whether or not the scenario you're being asked to play is grossly unbalanced or not. However, hold that thought because trying to determine balance in HPS games is almost fruitless and deserves a discussion all by itself.

CSA OBD Battle Only Summary Report: This is a list of currently active players for the CSA that shows the members point and a column for each level of victory or defeat in a BATTLE (Union member opponent). It is designed to assist the CSA command staff in determining award eligibility for certain awards based on victories over USA opponents.

CSA/USA Battlefield Summary: Lists by player and TS/HPS game disk how many games that the person has registered with DoR for each disk. Organized by OOB.

USA 35 Turn Game Select: This is a list of currently active players for the USA and shows the games they have played that are listed as containing 35 or more turns in the scenario, regardless of how many turns they actually played.

ACWGC Muster: This is a muster site for any army that wishes to use it. Members simply enter comments and select submit. The information is automatically stored in the database and notification emails are sent to the appropriate commanders.

Muster By Army Report Link: Allows the commanders to run a report to see who has mustered using the DoR.

CSA Sharpshooters Form and Report: Entry page and quarterly report for the Reb’s Sharpshooter program.
