First Report from the battlefields of the Summer Offensive!

MAIN BAR ROOM
Welcome to officers of both sides. Sit down and enjoy a drink served by our lovely barmaids Gloria and Liberty. Trade war stories or tall tales, but remember your deportment; that large man behind the counter will not hesitate to escort you out, if your behavior does not honor your rank!

First Report from the battlefields of the Summer Offensive!

Post by Drex »

A communique from Lt. Gen. Pat Thompson (VIII Corps Cmdr):
Have started game with BG Rick Martin, ANV. Slow start, he was on vacation for a while. Playing Chickamaugascenario 87 I think, Battle for Kentucky.
No objective hexes, just a straight battle. We got involved in the city of Frankfort and I've wiped out a couple of his cavalry regiments. Infantry can melee mounted cavalry if the cav are disrupted and isolated...
Up to a minor victory so far in 5 of 40 turns.
Game registered.

Update on battle...

Up to turn 10 now... and up to a Union Major level victory... and pulling away.

Controlling the hill above Frankfort now and getting some guns up there.
I have a "D" level division, the 10th, now fighting through the woods south of that hill, got the height advantage there also.

Will continue reports at 5 turn intervals.

It certainly looks like a reb general to me. Why don't you post it in the MDT and ask "Can you guess this famous Southern General's name? That ought to get a rise out of Blake!:)
