Sharpshooter Awards Engineer

MAIN BAR ROOM
Welcome to officers of both sides. Sit down and enjoy a drink served by our lovely barmaids Gloria and Liberty. Trade war stories or tall tales, but remember your deportment; that large man behind the counter will not hesitate to escort you out, if your behavior does not honor your rank!

Sharpshooter Awards Engineer

Post by Drex »

As you may be aware, the Sharpshooter Award has been retired due to lack of interest. However, if enough interest is generated, it can be revived. We also need someone to run it and they need to know how to work with html code. So I am opening up the position of Chief of Engineers to anyone who wants to take on the job!

I am close to useless with a computer, so I could never be an engineer.

But I can climb up on this table, look you in the eye , and tell you "Jeb" Stuart was removed from this mortal coil, by the 4th of the First (HARD)VIII Corps AoS, (while keeping Mansfield alive), and earned 20 vp for doing it! And that I will buy any officer a round, who will lift it to a soldier who fought this bloody war with an ostrich feather in his cap. Say whatever else you'd like, the traitorous scum was a Cavalier!

I invite any man-jack of you who has done better to bid me stand down,... and buy the next round of drinks. ;)

Your Humble & Obedient Servant,

Maj. Bill Bullock

Lt. Bullock certainly could be a contributor. Every month the honor is given to the officer with the most points in the "Kill" category and also in the "Captured" category. At the end of the year, the Award is given to the total points. The Website has to be maintained and the records for the submitted points have to be kept AND participation by most of the Army is required to make it competitive. In some longer scenarios, the list of killed or captured leaders could build into quite a sum. Each reb leader killed or captured should be submitted immediately after the turn. Waiting until the end of the game would be "gamey" and not fair to the shorter scenarios played.
