VIII Corps muster for October

MAIN BAR ROOM
Welcome to officers of both sides. Sit down and enjoy a drink served by our lovely barmaids Gloria and Liberty. Trade war stories or tall tales, but remember your deportment; that large man behind the counter will not hesitate to escort you out, if your behavior does not honor your rank!

Funyy thing is Matt, I was pretty happy initially, to see Kerry jump west after the Ohio boys. I thought, "Perfect! I'll gobble up the whole lot of 'em!" Not to be though. The AooO made a 3 turn fight of it, and took off for Cleveland. Thomas was able to beat up the holding force that was left to slows him down, but once Kerry was able to get up on Rocky Face...not too much could be done with him.

Rusty, Matt...

I did that once... was kinda funny... As soon as the Rebs came after the AotO, I picked up and RAN!!! Then headed up into the hill with my guns on top... Thomas came the other way and smashed them...
Sort of pushed them out there for a decoy and the Rebs bit... I forget who that was against...

My Record in that battle is a string of major's till I ran into David Ray who just sat back where I wasn't and dug in... I flanked him to the north, but very costly, only got a draw... but beat him up enough to crush him at Resaca, which left him with too few men to continue... though he played Cassville and then gave up at Dallas when it became obvious...

Fun battle...
