Saluting the Passing of Major General Robert Noftz

MAIN BAR ROOM
Welcome to officers of both sides. Sit down and enjoy a drink served by our lovely barmaids Gloria and Liberty. Trade war stories or tall tales, but remember your deportment; that large man behind the counter will not hesitate to escort you out, if your behavior does not honor your rank!

Saluting the Passing of Major General Robert Noftz

I have been informed by his family of the passing this past July of Major General Robert Noftz, Commander of the Third Division, VI Corps, Union Army of the Shenandoah and son of the late Celamanka Noftz.

Major General Noftz joined the ACWGC in February, 2008 and was assigned to the AotS. He quickly demonstrated himself to be a prolific player throughout the 8 1/2 years of his service, compiling a 31-27-28-18-64 combat record, 168 total games played. He also recorded a very respected and honorable total of 1, 979 OBD Points. Robert became a Division Commander in October of 2012, a command he scrupulously maintained until his absence was first recorded in April of this year. He was the recipient of numerous battle, service and conduct ribbons, maintaining himself as a highly respected and dependable opponent and officer. I personally found him to be a gentleman of high character and broad perspectives, one who was not above asking questions of worth before committing himself to a task. His presence has been and will continue to be missed within the AotS. The ACWGC Union Army has lost a fine officer.

<SALUTE>
General Jos. C. Meyer,
Union Army Chief of Staff
Commander, Army of the Shenandoah
(2011-2014 UA GinC)
