Gentlemen,
The month of Decenber was not very good for the AotP, needing one more victory to reach .500 for the year we ended up with a December record of 4-0-0-1-6 leaving the army 4 battles under .500 for the year. Still there was some good news last month, in the 4 major victories posted officers of the AotP won 3 Battle Ribbons and a Campaign Medal.
Lt.Gen. Dwight McBride won his second Edward’s Station Ribbon and a Campaign Vicksburg Medal
Maj. Gen. Lutz Schmidt won his third Shiloh Ribbon and
Lt.Gen. David Groce won his third 1st Bull Run Ribbon.
In addition Lt.Gen. Dwight McBride will be awarded the Sheridan Combat Medal for the 4th Quarter, his 7 victories against 1 defeat in the quarter was an outstanding record.
On the administrative side Gen. Jeff Laub stepped down as Union Secretary, for his service he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order and the Union Cabinet Secretary 1 Year Service Ribbon.
For 2011 the AotP took part in 211 battles against our rebel foes. It's record in those battles was 59-24-41-24-63, losing 4 more than we won. Also in 2011 members of this army have won 42 Battle Ribbons and 3 Campaign Medals.
