Reporting for duty

I am a new cadet reporting for duty. My name is Kenneth Crist and I tried the Battleground series several years back, but never could find any opponents. I recently decided to pull them out of mothballs again to fool around with them when I discovered two things:

1) Simulations releases on new John Tiller Civil War games

2) This game club

It seemed like wonderful serendipity. So, I bought Campaign Antietam since it contains my favorite battle of the war, 1st Bull Run and sent in my enlistment request.

Now I look forward to several tough weeks of training followed by being thrown in at some far off battlefield looking around for my non-coms. Every good officer knows that he can't do anything without his non-coms.

Cadet Crist,

Welcome! I'm sure you'll find your stay at the Academy to be both informative and enjoyable.

Thanks. Brigadier General Russo is already putting me through my paces in my first training scenario.

Thank you for the warm greeting. I have finished my first training scenario (Draw) and have moved on to my second scenario.

I do have a question. I put in a request for a password for the Library, but I have gotten no response. Should I resubmit the request?

Welcome Cadet Crist! Be sure to be generous with your bar tab with the senior officers as it will help you advance your career down the line. ;)

General Nelms has given you excellent advice, Cadet Crist, perhaps the most important of all! Battling incorrigible Rebel members of this club and taking care of all manner of adminsitrative detail is thirsty work...very thirsty work!

Welcome Cadet Crist! <salute>

We wish you success in helping us smash this pernicious rebellion.
Learn the Union strengths to exploit the CSA weaknesses.

Respectfully

Thank you for all the welcoming messages. My first month's pay will be dedicated to keeping my superior officers well lubricated!
