Cadet Ben Slagle Reporting
Sirs and fellow cadets,
Well met. I'm Ben Slagle from Winchester, TN. I work in enterprise software systems and sorely miss business travel after a year at home . I've been an avid wargamer for going on 30 years, mostly boardgames. My interests include the ACW, WW2 (especially the Pacific) and pre-Napoleonic Europe. In ACW gaming, I've spent most of my time with Civil War battle titles from the Gamers. Very akin to JTS games with a fair bit more chrome and a lot more die rolling. I've also enjoyed For the People a fair bit. It's not the most historical of games but its a very competitive. I also played ASL (too much) and Lace Wars series (operational War of Austrian Succession). I made the gradual switch to computer wargaming when I began to find the mental load of boardgaming via email to be a drag.
Glad to have found what looks to be a tight gaming wargaming community. Groups such as these are becoming a rarity so I count my blessings.
Looking forward to bringing the fight to our wayward brethren!

Welcome Ben!
You will find some great opponents in the group and likely make some lifelong friends.
I ask that you spread the word about the Club to any friends of yours who might enjoy the Club as well!!

Welcome to the Canteen, Ben! You’re in great hands with General Riggs as your instructor. You’ll find a lot of friends with very similar gaming background, including the all-consuming ASL world. The older I get, the happier I am to have a computer crunching all the chrome numbers and details. We look forward to getting you in command of your first brigade post-graduation.

Oh no Ben, not General Riggs as a trainer. I was at the 100th and 150th anniversary of Gettysburg and gosh, Riggs was at the 50th and the 150th.
Welcome sir and enjoy that great wadges of cash your holding 'cuse these guys will soon make it disappear.
