New Cadet David Alston

Post by D. Alston »

Hello, all. I'm a seasoned wargamer (age 67) who's been throwing the dice since before many of you whippersnappers were just a gleam in your Daddy's eye. It's good to see others who appreciate the sublime depth of strategy vs the twitch of RT games. I look forward to knocking heads with you over the virtual battlefield.

Die? You've been throwing die . . . oh, you mean those little white cubes with dots on them! :P

Not to feel lonely David, we've a good cross section of geezers walking around in these taverns, always ready for game or two of "End the Rebellion!" Do you know that those gray backs have been clamoring about their rights now since 1997? That's how long we've been teaching them the error of their ways. And whenever we've felt the need for a break from the contest, we've enjoyed a good maneuver or two with each other!

Hope to see you graduating real soon!
