January Army Report

MAIN TAVERN ROOM
Welcome to officers of both sides. Sit down and enjoy a drink served by our lovely barmaids Helga and Ingrid. Trade war stories or tall tales, but remember your deportment; that large man behind the counter will not hesitate to escort you out, if your behavior does not honor your rank!

January Army Report

Army of the Cumberland
January, 2013 Army Report
1-20-13

Western Theatre Commander General Ernest Sands:

The Army of the Cumberland January muster was 30 of 37 officers responding including several who mustered through their Division/Army Commander and did not show up at the Tavern. We were assigned three new officers this month in Clifton Seney and Warren Bajan from the Union Military Academy and John Ferry, who had been General Meyer’s Aide-de-Camp. Lieutenant Seney is assigned the XIV Corps, 1st Division and Lieutenants Bajan and Ferry have been placed in the XX Corps, 3rd and 2nd Divisions respectfully. We welcome them to our Army. Both have been writing extensively at the Mason/Dixon Tavern on various subjects. Congratulations gentlemen. Also Colonel Mark Twitty has ended his LOA and is ready to rejoin the XX Corps, 3rd Division post he enjoyed for several years. This is indeed good news. Phil Roubaud has requested to be assigned a Brigade position and will Command the 5th Brigade in the XX Corps 1st Division. We have a volunteer to assume the vacated Divisional Command, but the vetting process has not been completed at this time.

Two officers will be placed in Hospital due to not answering muster call or responding to Command summons. They are Tod Kershner and Patrick Brenner. Hopefully their wounds will heal and will return to active duty.

Again, I would like to encourage each member of our Army to help identify exceptional effort by your friends and foes. Please bring this to the attention of your immediate superior.

Seven battles were started this month and twenty-four ended. Of these twenty-four, 11 were major victories, 1 minor victory, 5 major defeats, 1 minor loss, 1 draw, and there was 5 maneuver or Union Military Academy Training games played to an end this month. Congratulations gentlemen well played.

The XX Corps Lafayette Division and the XIV Corps 1st Division have been selected for the Honor Guard this month.

There is one officer currently in advanced training and there are now seven veteran members participating in the Red Badge of Courage Tournament. They are Generals Ciampa, van der Hagen, Riggs, Shaw, Nelms, Chatain, and Wilkes.

Image There seems to be a great lack of interests in meeting me in battle from the Southern boys. But am reporting for duty although I might get into a MPG game soon!
