September AotC Monthly Report

MAIN TAVERN ROOM
Welcome to officers of both sides. Sit down and enjoy a drink served by our lovely barmaids Helga and Ingrid. Trade war stories or tall tales, but remember your deportment; that large man behind the counter will not hesitate to escort you out, if your behavior does not honor your rank!

September AotC Monthly Report

Post by David Danner »

Army of the Cumberland
September, 2012 Army Report
9-20-12

Western Theatre Commander General Ernest Sands:

The Army of the Cumberland September muster was 26 of 32 officers responding. We have been assigned no new recruits this month or transfers. However, Colonel Richard Whipkey has returned from retirement and we welcome him back into the XX Corps. We are indeed fortunate to have this fine man back in battle formation.

General Mark Nelms of the AotC XIV Corps is standing for election for the ACWGC Presidency. His is being opposed by Rebel General Pierre Desruisseaux. Both of their campaign biographies and question and answer threads appear in the Mason/Dixon Tavern. I urge each of you to read these exchanges and keep abreast of Club news and updates on both candidates. My personal view is that Mark is the best candidate and I hope all of you agree. In stark contrast to the sitting President Mark Nelms will work in public and privately for both sides and has insisted he wants the Club to prosper while enhancing your gaming experience.

Fifteen battles were started this month and twenty-one ended. Of these twenty-one, 6 were major victories, 1 minor victory, 8 major defeats, 0 minor losses, there was 5 draws, and there were 1 maneuvers or West Point Training games played to an end this month. Congratulations gentlemen well played.

The XIV Corps 3rd Division and XX Corps 2nd Division have been selected for the Honor Guard this month.

There are no officers currently in advanced training.

Six officers failed to muster this month. Two of these were General officers and one was a new Division Commander who has failed to muster two months in a row. Four were new officers and they require continuous support for adherence to their muster responsibilities. All Command officers are encouraged to be active with their personnel and assist/encourage them in their speedy advancement and gaming pleasure.
