August Monthly Report

MAIN TAVERN ROOM
Welcome to officers of both sides. Sit down and enjoy a drink served by our lovely barmaids Helga and Ingrid. Trade war stories or tall tales, but remember your deportment; that large man behind the counter will not hesitate to escort you out, if your behavior does not honor your rank!

August Monthly Report

Post by David Danner »

Army of the Cumberland
August, 2012 Army Report
8-21-12

Western Theatre Commander General Ernest Sands:

The Army of the Cumberland August muster was 24 of 31 officers responding. We have been assigned no new recruits this month or transfers. However, Colonel Pat Brenner returned from his hospitalization and we welcome him back and in a bit of good luck, retired General Alex (Ax) Ruhrmann has submitted a request for active service and is awaiting placement within the AotC. We are indeed fortunate to have these two fine men back in battle dress. Colonel Greg Olinsky has transferred to the AotS and will become that Army’s Chief-of-Staff. We wish him well and thank him for his efforts within our Army, especially with updating of the Adjutant’s reporting system.

General François Chatain, assisted by General Antony Barlow has examined every AotC officer’s battle record for accuracy and modernizing the Battle Star system into the current awards format. Please examine your record at the AotC H.Q. for accuracy. Many of you will notice a dramatic change, so please spot these gentlemen some libation at you earliest convenience.

Ten battles were started this month and eighteen ended. Of these eighteen, 6 were major victories, 1 minor victory, 7 major defeats, 2 minor losses, there was 0 draws, and there were 2 maneuvers or West Point Training games played to an end this month. Congratulations gentlemen well played.

The XIV Corps 3rd Division has been selected for the Honor Guard this month.

There are no officers currently in advanced training.

Seven officers failed to muster this month. Two of these were General officers and one was a new Division Commander. I hope this is attributed to holidays and vacations. Five were new officers and they require continuous support for adherence to their muster responsibilities. All Command officers are encouraged to be active with their personnel and assist/encourage them in their speedy advancement and gaming pleasure.
