April Army Report

MAIN TAVERN ROOM
Welcome to officers of both sides. Sit down and enjoy a drink served by our lovely barmaids Helga and Ingrid. Trade war stories or tall tales, but remember your deportment; that large man behind the counter will not hesitate to escort you out, if your behavior does not honor your rank!

April Army Report

Army of the Cumberland
April, 2012 Army Report
4-20-12

Western Theatre Commander General Ernest Sands:

The Army of the Cumberland April muster was 30 of 37 officers responding. We were assigned no new recruits or transfers this month.

Eleven battles were started this month and eighteen ended. Of these eighteen, 9 were major victories, 1 minor victory, 1 major defeat, 1 minor loss, there was 1 draw, and there were 5 maneuvers or West Point Training games played to an end this month. Congratulations gentlemen well played.

The XX Corps, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Divisions have been selected for the Honor Guard this month. That’s right—the entire XX Corps. Congratulations gentlemen.

Colonel Chatain and General Shaw are starting a new post in the “Back Room” of the Tavern that will provide us all with “Tips and Techniques on Advanced Play.” I look forward to reading this very beneficial undertaking.

There are no officers currently in advanced training.

Current Tournament:

General Shaw, Colonel Chatain, and Captain Olinsky have been actively engaged with officers of the Rebel Army of the Mississippi and have developed a new game for a tournament between our two Armies. The play testing is completed but not enough Rebels have surfaced from the Rebel side. General Shaw is seeking additional opponents from other sources. The start date is on hold. The Tournament Web page developed by Lieutenant Colonel Olinsky can be viewed at:

Thanks Antony

just a slight mistake about myself : it is not the Vicksburg Campaign Ribbon that I should get but the Vicksburg HPS Ribbon for 5 major victories ... ;)
