Gentlemen: General Nelms has agreed to buy the drinks for General Ned's party and I fully agree. Mark and Ned have been buddies for years and it is only fitting that his friend buy the drinks and start the party. Welcome Ned and it is indeed an honor to have you with us.

Thank you gentlemen, and you too Mark! Sorry to take so long to arrive but I've lost two horses/computers and it's been difficult getting back on when you don't know which end is the mane and which end is ... not the mane. With the breath on this new horse, you can't necessarily judge by the smell!

I am proud to be a member of the Army of the Cumberland because this army kicks butt and takes names, particularly when facing the Confederate Army of the Mississippi. There is no greater joy (okay, so there is joining the Lord, and sex, and winning the lottery, and ... won't you give me some literary license here) than watching a Reb line running away as fast as they can with those dark brown spots visible on the seat of their pants ... I call that the Reb Splatter Retreat.

Since Gen Nelms has so graciously offered to buy all the drinks, then bartender fill me up and my horse needs the trough filled outside as well (that way I'll either be able to tell which end is what or discover that my horse has hemorrhoid problems).

General Simms I think that you have been horribly misinformed about the AotC’s military prowess. After checking with the AotM I can confirm that the only butt being kicked and names taken are those officers of the AotC - sad I know. As for Reb’s running I would say that this may be due to the unions liberal use of alcohol and illicit drugs – if a Reb solider bares his rear end in your general direction it is meant as an insult and not a signal of retreat.

Since I spend some much time in this tavern dispensing valuable advice to AotC officers I have my own bar tab, which you are more than welcome to use - so cheers and welcome to the AotC Suh!
