Gentlemen:
Yesterday I recorded a panel discussion of the 4 top Civil War Generals on C-span2, Book TV, as part of the 150 year anniversary for the National Archives. The participants examined how each man ascended to the military rank and what separated each from their peers. The panel was moderated by Gen. Wesley Clark (Retired) which included Noah Andre Trudeau, Robert E. Lee, Donald Davis, Stonewall Jackson, Steven Woodworth, Sherman, and John Mosier, Grant. The event took place at the National Archives in Washington, DC.
The program airs again at 12 AM (ET) today on C-Span2 again today and I hope you have a chance to see or record it for later viewing because they examine personal characteristics that all of us have but were salient in these men. Courage (personal and moral), foresight, insight, education, and intrinsic qualities are discussed and explored.
This is not to be missed.
