AotC UNION OFFICER UNDERGOING SURGERY

MAIN TAVERN ROOM
Welcome to officers of both sides. Sit down and enjoy a drink served by our lovely barmaids Helga and Ingrid. Trade war stories or tall tales, but remember your deportment; that large man behind the counter will not hesitate to escort you out, if your behavior does not honor your rank!

AotC UNION OFFICER UNDERGOING SURGERY

Post by Joe Meyer »

I was informed late last night that Brigadier General James Wilkes, 2/3/XX/AotC, underwent surgery for the removal of a tumor at the base of his brain. Jim, who is known on these boards as "Digglyda," resides in England and wanted to make sure that we were apprised of his situation and had his sister Shirley contact me. Her message is given below:

"Sorry to have to let you know that James is very poorly at the moment. He is in the Atkinson Morley, as he has a tumour at the base of his brain. They are operating this morning (he has just gone into theatre).

"Sorry to have to let you know like this, but James has asked us to let you know.

"Fingers crossed, they will get everything sorted out for him."

This comes as a surpise to all of us as Jim is a frequent visitor to this forum and very active officer in this club. I'm sure that you will join me in extending our best wishes to him. I have asked his sisters to keep me informed as they can.

I'm sure we all wish James a quick and full recovery. He is in my thoughts and prayers.
